| A very experienced
and successful international business advisor, Azam has
spent over 20 years advising a broad range of organisations
including multinationals, financial services organisations
and other private and public sector bodies.He is a former director at Deloitte and a partner in
his own accountancy and business consultancy firm.He specialises in finance and strategy.
As well as serving for 11 years with Deloitte, he has also
spent four years on the Advisory Committee to the Ofcom
Board and is currently a non-executive on the Governing
Board of the University of Leicester where he chairs the
Audit and Risk Committee.He is also a board member of the Curve Theatre where
he chairs the Finance Committee.
This wide and varied
experience combines with an engaging style to enable Azam to
enliven topics and enhance understanding by bringing a range
of current real-world examples into the seminar room.As a trainer one of his particular strengths is his
knowledge of ‘hard’ topics coupled with a deep
understanding of the ‘soft’ skills involved in effective
management.
Azam is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MA
degree in economics from Cambridge University.
