Qualifications & CMI
Awards
ProSeminar
now offers a range of accredited qualifications to support
and extend it's programme of short courses for management and
professional development. Following attendance on
selected short courses, participants have the option of
taking part in a four week programme of supported study
leading to the completion of a 3,000 word assignment.
Successful completion of the assignment leads to a CMI
accredited Award.
CMI
Certificate in Management & Leadership Level 5
While
each Award is a valuable qualification in it's own right,
achieving two or more Awards (to a combined value of at
least 13 credits) leads to the CMI Certificate in
Management & Leadership (Level 5). Additional credits
can be built up for the CMI Diploma in Management &
Leadership*

short courses which can now be extended in this way and
their associated CMI Awards include
How it
Works
1. Learner's
Handbook & Other Resources
Registering
participants receive a copy of the Learner's Handbook and
(for some Units) a copy of the appropriate Workbook from
CMI's Pathways to Management Series.
Participants
are also registered as Student Members of the Chartered
Management Institute providing them with on-line access to
CMI learning resources including CMI Checklists, CMI
Management Thinkers Series, articles, pod-casts and videos.
The
Learner's Handbook outlines the assignment and
provides guidance on incorporating ideas from the Workshop
and other relevant sources.
The
Pathways Workbook provides a series of exercises to aid
reflection, develop ideas and supplement material covered in
the Workshop.
2. Workshop
Attendance & Briefing Session
Participants
attend the relevant workshop (along side those who may not
choose to take the Award). During the Workshop the
tutor will make time to brief those registered for the Award
on the processes involved and handle any queries.
3. Supported
Learning & the Assignment
Over a four-week period following the Workshop, participants
work through the relevant learning resources, carry out some
of their own research and complete the assignment.
On-going support and advice via e-mail is available from the
tutor throughout this period. Study time required
during this period is expected to be approximately 15-20
hours.

assignment brief.
4. Assessment,
Award & Formative Feedback
Completed
assignments are submitted to the CMI's Assessor and, if
successful, participants receive their Award.
Participants also receive detailed formative feedback from
their course tutor to help them develop their insights
further and support them in their continuing management
career.
